Who am I?

Hi! My name is The Chad (Chad, for short) and I just finished up my 4th and final year (of my undergrad) at the University of Guelph. I’m an English major/History minor and I have a love for all things reading and writing! Well, I have a love for most things reading and writing… have you ever tried to write an essay on the writings of bp Nichol? Yeah, things got weeeiirrdd.

Why am I blogging?

Well, there comes a time in a young man’s life when he just has to pick up the pen (err, keyboard?) and release upon the world all of his pent up creativity and sarcasm! I have a penchant for entertaining people and I feel like this is an excellent place to start. Hopefully you will get a chuckle or 2… or 4!

What is The Natural Paradox?

So, crazy name aside (because who doesn’t love the idea of a paradox… my life is full of them and they make life insanely interesting!), I intend for this blog to be an extension of my creative side. I want to write about whatever pops into my head: love, Batman, flowers, sex, books, alcohol, friends, family, nerd moments, jock moments, etc etc etc! The possibilities really are quite endless. I’d like to think that I fall all across the social spectrum of life and I can bring a wide array of topics and interesting ideas to the interwebs.

More often than not, I imagine you will find me “ranting” about one subject or another, but I promise to keep it as intellectually (and sarcastically) stimulating as possible!

What do I want to be when I’m older?

When I grow up, I want to be a fire-truck! Ok, so setting reality aside for a second, what I actually want to do is make my way into the publishing world! Ideally, one day I would LOVE to be an editor. And of course, I would eventually like to write my own stuff as well. For now though, I am content to write on this simple little blog as I master my writing skills and abilities. Hopefully in the next few months, I will be living in a lavish loft apartment somewhere in New York or Toronto (ok, so a guy can dream, alright?).

Much Lovin’,
The Chad!
